2024-25 Audit Report
A Panchayat's Audit Report is an official document that verifies whether the panchayat’s financial transactions, income and expenditures, implementation of projects, tax collection, and development activities have been carried out legally and efficiently. The State Audit Department or the Local Fund Audit Department examines the panchayat's accounts to prepare this report.
The report highlights accounting errors, irregularities, unnecessary expenditures, documentation discrepancies, and losses of revenue. Furthermore, it evaluates the panchayat's administrative efficiency and transparency in the utilization of public funds. The panchayat is required to take necessary actions to rectify the anomalies pointed out in the audit report and, based on its findings, strengthen its future financial controls.
